In the morning you can visit the Duca degli Abruzzi Alpine Museum in the heart of Courmayeur and soak up the history of Mont Blanc and the Mountain guides.
For unusual lunch with a view of Mont Blanc, take the Mont Blanc cable car to Pavillon du Mont Fréty at 2,173 m. In summer, visit the Saussure Alpine Garden, the highest in Europe, and relax on the terrace while admiring the view over Courmayeur.
Summer or winter you can make your way up to the Torino Vecchio refuge then on to the Torino Nuovo refuge and its stunning look-out giving onto the most beautiful 4,000ers in Europe.
If you’re feeling energetic, you can get a mountain guide to take you on some of the nature trails on Mont Blanc. When you get peckish, try the typical “Mont Blanc” dessert, a real treat for the sweet-toothed.
Dinner in one of the risto-chalets in the Courmayeur Mont Blanc ski area is a must, the cable car stays open till late at night.
