Walk in the silence of nature, discover animal tracks and lose yourself in the colours of the vegetation in Courmayeur Mont Blanc. The most captivating walks include the panoramic footpaths of the Vény and Ferret valleys, and the Ermitage-La Suche –Tirecorne circuit; wherever you go on the Massif, you’ll find an Alpine landscape of incomparable beauty.
In Val Vény, the spectacular moraine of the Miage glacier with its glacial lakes is not to be missed, while the Casermetta at Col de la Seigne is also well worth a visit: this former barracks now hosts the Safe Mountain Foundation study centre. And let’s not forget the walks in the Peuterey woods and up to the Elisabetta refuge.
The peaceful Val Ferret is the ideal place to bask in the sunshine in the silence of unspoilt nature. The walk from Planpincieux to Lavachey is recommended, as is a visit to the Bertone and Elena refuges, set against the backdrop of the Mont Blanc massif.
A walk in the Plangorret woods near Courmayeur is a must and if you still have some energy we recommend the Ermitage-La Suche – Tirecorne circuit.
Another delightful walk is the Grand Ru footpath, which runs from the tennis courts in Pussey to lower Villair and the woodlands of Dolonne.
