Take a deep breath, gaze upon the infinite, feel the fresh pure mountain air. And then dive in a pool of warm water as the air bubbles slip away, starting a dance suspended in the most panoramic Alpine body of water in Italy.
Swimming is between me and the water, and nothing else. In the exact moment that water enwraps me, I am alone, and grateful for it. (John Jerome)
Dive into the heart of the Alps and let your gaze reach the summit of the Mont Blanc.
We all know how much fun swimming can be. There are those who swim for passion, to tone up, to have fun, to work out… and those who do it to relax after a good day of hiking. The Alpine heated swimming pool of Plan Chécrouit provide a different type of break for Tour du Mont Blanc trekkers.
Dive into the heart of the Alps at 1,704 m of altitude, swimming in the highest outdoor heated pool of Europe gazing upon the summit of The Mont Blanc.
The pool, with the water temperature at a constant 27- 30 degrees, is 20 m long and 1.50 m deep. An enchanted location, that combines the relaxation with the breathtaking views of the Mont Blanc. The pool comes with a sauna, sun terrace, changing rooms and bar. In July and August you can get to Plan Chécrouit in a few minutes by cable car from Dolonne, but you can also walk there from Courmayeur in an hour.
