The excitement of the first catch, the day spent on the mountain riverside, immersed in stillness and silence, the sense of being a little lost, far away from everything, in total serenity.
If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. (Doug Larson)
The waters of Dora di Val Ferret Creek are an exceptional training center for mountain fishing
The unraveling of fishing reel and the jingling of the line buzzer will be the only artificial sounds. The Dora di Ferret fishing reserve is the ideal place for those who love fishing in peace immersed in nature. Enjoy a few pleasant days on the riverside of Dora Creek, engorged by the waters of the Pré de Bacon glacier, searching for your first trout in Val Ferret.
In the magnificent pools of water, in which a rich Alpine flora is reflected, you can spend a quiet day fishing or hiking with your family surrounded by beautiful Alpine panoramas, whether you’re expert mountaineers or not, making stops in nearby refuges to taste the valley’s local products or to simply rest in the sun.
The Dora di Ferret fishing reserve is located in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The reserve itself is a 10-kilometer stretch of the river Dora, and various fishing techniques are permitted: from classic fishing to no-kill. Fishing is allowed from June to October and it is possible to buy a daily permit.
