The wild Val Veny di Courmayeur Mont Blanc

One of the two side valleys of Courmayeur Mont Blanc, Val Vény is renowned throughout the whole of the Valle d'Aosta. With its views of Mont Blanc, Aiguille Noire du Peuterey, Dames Anglaises, Aiguilles des Glaciers and the Brenva and Miage glaciers, it’s the perfect destination for summer walking and winter skiing.

One of Courmayeur Mont Blanc’s side valleys is the magnificent wild Val Vény, starting point for a number of summer and winter walks.

The valley faces Mont Blanc, the Roof of Europe, and the highest peaks on the Alps. In summer, it is the starting point for walks and hikes in the valley itself and at higher altitudes.

The Val Vény is also famous for the sanctuary of Notre Dame de la Guérison, a holy place which attracts many pilgrims. In winter, you can access the valley with the Val Vény cable car, alternatively you can take one of the ski mountaineering routes or ski down into it from Col Chécrouit.
