Carnival 2025

Masks, good food, and traditional dances.
A celebration of colors, sounds, and flavors of tradition, blended with a modern, ironic, and often irreverent spirit: this is Carnival at the foot of Mont Blanc, or rather, “Lo Camentran,” which means “the one who enters Lent.”

On Fat Tuesday, the “lo Vioù e la Viéille” of each village, the masks of the old man and the old woman, roam the town announcing the arrival of Carnival with the sound of cowbells, while the delicious aroma of “seuppa,” the typical soup, fills the streets. The soup, served with fontina cheese, sausages, and black bread, is distributed in Piazza Abbé Henry at lunchtime.

• Saturday, March 1 | 7:30 PM
  The Lé Beuffon group announces Carnival in the streets of the Courmayeur villages.

• Sunday, March 2 | 5:30 PM
  The Lé Beuffon group announces Carnival in the streets of the Courmayeur town center.

• Monday, March 3 | 11:00 AM
  The Lé Beuffon group announces Carnival in Val Ferret.

• Tuesday, March 4: Lo Camentran – Courmayeur’s Carnival
