Reading Event – “Alto tradimento” (Aliberti Publishing Company) by journalist Francesco Bonazzi
Discover how the Agnelli Elkann family left Italy and who helped them. Journalist Albert Tamietto will discuss the book with the author. A short aperitif with the author follows. Limited spaces, reservation required.

Book in 500 characters:
The Agnellis and the history of Italy’s last reigning industrial family, cautious of Rome yet skilled at leveraging every government. Under John Elkann, Fiat’s long and glorious story risks ending with the last Italian factories, devastated by offshoring. Despite political guarantees of a domestic monopoly, passion for industry has given way to high finance. The book explores the role of media, politics, and the judiciary in this carefully planned exodus.

Francesco Bonazzi
Born in Turin in 1968 and living in Courmayeur. Law graduate from the University of Pavia, he started at ANSA in 1992, became a professional journalist in 1998, and joined L’Espresso in 1999. For an investigation on bank collapses, he was investigated (and later acquitted) for violating State secrecy.
