New Night-Time Public Transport Service in Valdigne
Starting 6 July, a new night-time public transport service will operate in Valdigne.
Additional services will complement the existing timetable with departures:
- from Aosta at 10:30 pm and 3:00 am;
- from Courmayeur at 11:45 pm and 4:00 am.
The extended service aims to provide residents, visitors, young people and workers with a safe and reliable way to travel during the evening and overnight hours, while encouraging more sustainable mobility and reducing reliance on private cars.
During the summer season, Valdigne is one of the areas of the Aosta Valley experiencing the highest increase in visitor numbers, together with a rich programme of events and recreational activities.
The new night services will complement the existing timetable, ensuring connections between the valley’s main towns throughout the evening and overnight.
The enhanced service will also benefit people working in the tourism, hospitality and restaurant sectors, whose working hours often extend late into the evening.
The initiative is the result of close collaboration between the Regional Department for Transport and Sustainable Mobility, local authorities and the public transport operator.
The service will initially operate as a pilot project, allowing demand and the effectiveness of extended night-time mobility to be assessed.
